Psicologia Internacional

Conselho Internacional de Psicólogos
Since 2017, I have been a member of the International Council of Psychologists (ICP). In 2019, I was elected to serve as Director at Large, and I have remained a member of the Board ever since. The International Council of Psychologists, Inc., is entering its 80th year as a world-wide association of psychologists, including scholars, practitioners, and students, as well as those studying and working in related fields.
The International Council of Psychologists (ICP) as an organization is, in practice, a community of psychologists from all parts of the world who are focused on using psychological science and expertise to promote human rights, dignity, justice, and peace. The ICP is a nexus where psychologists who often work alone or in small groups can meet and interact with others from other locations. Their activities include information exchange and sharing, supporting and working with one another, rejuvenating their interest and passion for their work, and learning with and from each other. The goal of this community is to make meaningful positive differences in the world and to help envision a more equitable and sustainable future.

Over the past year, we have established an International Network for the Study of Viktor Frankl's Work in collaboration with professionals from various institutes worldwide. Logotherapy and Existential Analysis represent the third school of psychology in Vienna, following Freud's Psychoanalysis and Adler's Individual Psychology.
Research into the significance of meaning and purpose in life has seen substantial growth in recent decades, largely due to the contributions of Viktor Frankl (1905-1997). Throughout most of his life, from his days as a medical student, Frankl extensively explored the quest for meaning, applying his theories in diverse settings. He facilitated Youth Counseling Groups in Vienna before World War II, led the Department of Suicide at a psychiatric hospital in Vienna for four years, and even applied his insights within the confines of concentration camps during his internment. Additionally, he shared his wisdom through teaching engagements at prestigious universities worldwide and in his private practice as a Psychiatrist and Neurologist.
Our Network has brought together institutes and universities from numerous countries, including Brazil, the United States, Italy, Mexico, Argentina, Austria, Great Britain, Israel, South Africa, Turkey, Greece, Russia, Georgia, Colombia, and others.
Vamos trabalhar juntos.
